SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to join our team as a Food Service Substitute at Park Rapids District. This position is ideal for those looking to support our food service operations on an as-needed basis. The Food Service Substitute will assist in providing nutritious meals to students and staff while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role requires adaptability and a commitment to fostering a positive dining experience.Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines.- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met and maintained throughout food preparation and service.- Set up and clean dining areas, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.- Operate kitchen equipment safely and according to established procedures.- Support the regular food service staff in daily tasks, including inventory management and restocking supplies.- Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring that all meals are appealing and nutritious.- Respond to student and staff inquiries regarding meal options and dietary restrictions.- Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Food Service Supervisor.Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent required.- Previous experience in food service or kitchen operations is a plus, but not required.- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with a team.- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.- A current food handler's permit or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe(preferred).- Must pass a background check as required by school district policies.#J-18808-Ljbffr
