We are seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals in an institutional/food service environment. The Cook will follow approved recipes, menus, dietary guidelines, and food safety standards while ensuring meals are prepared accurately, safely, and on time. The role also involves maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing food inventory, and supporting the overall health and safety of residents.
Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to approved recipes and menus.
Prepare meals in appropriate quantities while maintaining portion control, quality, and nutritional requirements.
Follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and proper food-handling procedures.
Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, countertops, appliances, dishes, and related supplies.
Monitor food and kitchen equipment temperatures and maintain required records.
Assist with receiving, storing, and tracking food supplies and inventory.
Identify low-stock items and communicate inventory needs to the supervisor.
Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions, food allergies, and nutritional requirements.
Work collaboratively with kitchen and facility staff to ensure timely meal service.
Occasionally assist with serving meals and interacting with staff and residents.
Maintain accurate food usage and waste records.
Support other staff as needed and perform other related duties assigned.
Complete required First Aid and CPR training.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in food preparation or cooking, preferably in an institutional, healthcare, residential, or similar food service setting.
Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation, nutrition, food allergies, and dietary restrictions.
Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines accurately.
Basic math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and portion measurements.
Basic verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen supplies and equipment.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Must complete First Aid/CPR training as required.
Must meet applicable background check, fingerprinting, employment verification, and reference-check requirements.
