Position Information:
The Food Service Worker position performs a variety of functions related to the breakfast and/or lunch meal services in Edmonds School District Kitchens. This position sets up, serves and cleans up after school meals. This position also maintains records for the school kitchen including temperature logs, food production records and student meal accounts.
Shift Details: 2 hours a day; 180 day calendar; shift hours are 11:15am-1:15pm
Continuing Position: Employees have reasonable assurance of continued employment to the following school year. However, an employee's total work hours, work locations, and the designated beginning and ending times may vary.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $24.76 per hour. Additional step increases from $24.76 to $26.06, dependent on employer-approved training. (2025-2026 Food Service Salary Schedule) [Effective Sep. 1, 2026: $25.46 per hour]

The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) provides access to health care services. Our benefits are provided to eligible positions through SEBB (School Employees Benefits Board). Eligibility for SEBB state health insurance coverage is determined by working 630 hours during the school year.
