AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Food Service & Beverage Attendant working mornings and weekends at McDaniel College.

This is a Part-time position in Westminster, MD.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and service of hot and/or cold foods, following proper food safety and temperature requirements

• Set up and maintain food service stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, beverages, utensils, and other products

• Deliver and serve beverages and other products throughout dining and event areas in an efficient and timely manner

• Stock, rotate, and replenish food, beverage, and service supplies while maintaining appropriate inventory levels

• Assist with packing, preparing, and setting up food and beverage stations before events and meal periods

• Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner throughout serving, retail, dining, and event areas

• Follow proper guest service procedures by smiling, making eye contact, greeting guests, and responding to requests appropriately

• Maintain knowledge of food storage, temperature requirements, and proper handling procedures to prevent spoilage and ensure food safety

• Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, dining areas, and service areas in accordance with all client and regulatory rules and procedures

• Collect and properly dispose of trash from food and beverage areas during and at the end of events and shifts

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask while performing assigned duties

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous food service or customer service experience preferred

• Part-time availability, including mornings and weekends

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time

• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

• Customer-oriented, organized, and detail-oriented

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to communicate with team members and other departments with professionalism and respect

• Ability to maintain professional relationships with team members, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions when needed
