    Evening Shift (United States of America)

    Hours: Part-Time, 24 hours per week

    Monday-Friday, every other weekend & rotating holidays, 11:00am - 7:30pm

    Summary

    The Food Service Workeris responsible forthe preparation of food,presentingand serving food to customers.The Food Service Worker is also responsible forpreparationof food,properly storingfood in designated areasin accordance withapplicable federal, state, and local standards,guidelinesand regulations.The focus of the Food Service Workerincludes general food service work,maintainingsanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining room facilities.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • ​​Prep workincluding,washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding vegetables and fruits along with weighing and measuring designated ingredients.

    • ​Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and fromworkstations,stove, andrefrigeratorwhilemaintainingall safety standards.

    • ​Properly stores foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures. 

    • ​Cleans work areas,equipmentand utensils.

    • ​Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.

    • ​Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standardportioncontrol.

    • ​Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner following outlined steps of service.  

    • ​Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information tosupervisor. 

    • ​Interactswith co-workers to ensure compliance with company servicestandards, andinventory and cash control procedures. 

    • ​Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.

    • ​Otherdutiesthat may beassigned.

    Customer Service Responsibilities

    Demonstrate excellent customer service and standards ofbehaviorsas well as encourages, coaches, andmonitorsthe sameinteam members. This individual should consistently promote teamwork and direct communication with co-workers and deal discretely and sensitively with confidential information.

    Responsibilities in Quality Improvement

    Contribute byidentifyingproblems and seeking solutions. Promote patient/family satisfaction where possible;participatesin departmental efforts tomonitorand report customer service.

    Preferred Job Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED equivalentis preferred.

    • ​​1 - 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • ​Food Handler’s Permit by applicable state and county.

    • ​ServSafetraining and certificate as required by applicable state and county. ​
