This position plays an important role in ensuring patients, visitors, and staff receive high-quality food service while maintaining compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Prepare and assemble patient meals according to diet orders and meal schedules.Deliver meal trays to patient rooms and collect trays following meal service.Assist patients courteously and communicate meal-related concerns to appropriate staff.Serve food and beverages in the cafeteria, coffee shop, or other food service areas as assigned.Operate cash register and process transactions accurately, if applicable.Stock food, beverages, supplies, and service areas.Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and food service equipment.Clean and sanitize kitchen, dining, food preparation, and storage areas.Follow proper food handling, storage, and temperature control procedures.Assist with food preparation and portioning under the direction of dietary staff.Maintain compliance with hospital safety standards, infection prevention practices, and food safety regulations.Report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and sanitation concerns promptly.Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations.JOB REQUIREMENTSDependability and strong work ethicAbility to maintain professionalism when interacting with patients and families.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Ability to read, write, communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to maintain required food safety and sanitation standards.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Apply today to join our team!
