GENERAL INFORMATIONWarsaw R-IX School District is seeking cooks for the 2025/26- school year. Substitute positions are available. Applicant will be required to obtain a background check.
EVALUATIONConstant standing or walking. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Bends, reaches, lifts, carries, twists, pushes, pulls, and handles equipment when performing duties. Repetitive wrist/arm movements when serving. Manual and finger dexterity and motor coordination are necessary to serve food and handle dishes/trays with agility and speed. Able to reach and operate equipment and systems safely and effectively. Ability to work in warm to hot and humid conditions. Must have the ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions. Adaptability to perform routine, repetitive tasks with a specific period of time. Prioritizes work assignments to be completed within time requirements.
DUTIES

* Prepares simple food items such as fruit/vegetables, coffee, using proper food handling techniques.

* Serves food according to specific diets and delivers meals to serving lines.

* Cleans and sanitizes work areas, utensils and equipment according to sanitation guidelines.

* Completes dishroom tasks to clean and sanitize dishes.

* Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONSHigh School or Vocational School Graduate or equivalent or working toward diploma. Good working knowledge of English. Food Handler Certificate preferred.
