The Opportunity
We are looking for Food Services Assistants to join our team at Myoora aged care facility in Henty. Join a large and supportive team, with availability on both weekdays and weekends. You will bring your experience in hospitality, customer service and safe food preparation and handling to join our catering team to ensure the smooth running of food services. This includes maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas, assisting with meal preparation and supporting the serving and delivery of meals.
We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of food service within the facility.
What you will bring to the role:
Food handler basic training (Food Authority) or equivalent
Experienced in preparation, serving and delivery of fresh meals
Experience in table service and clearing duties
Experience in working in a fast-paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation – desirable
Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
Experience in Aged Care desirable
Current First Aid Certificate desirable
Excellent communication skills
Team player who is highly motivated
Availability to work various shifts across various days
