Job Description:

Dining Services at Madison College Goodman South Branch Campus is seeking a Food Services Associate. This position ensures high-quality beverage and food service by preparing consistently and following standardized recipes.

The Food Services Associate maintains compliance with health and safety standards through proper food handling and sanitation practices while keeping equipment, workstations, and service areas clean, organized, and ready for efficient operation.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, 38 weeks a year (during academic year). The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday between 8:00am - 4:00pm, hours may slightly fluctuate, however, no evening or weekend hours required.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensures high-quality beverage service by maintaining consistency in preparation and adhering to standardized recipes.
  • Maintains compliance with health and safety standards by overseeing proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Upholds a clean and organized service environment by ensuring regular sanitation of equipment and workstations.
  • Adheres to college policies, directives and work rules while maintaining a commitment to the college's mission, vision and values.
  • Performs other related duties within the scope of the position as required for the efficient operation of the division and to support institutional objectives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of retail sales operations such as operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Knowledge of food handling, sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Ability to accurately handle financial transactions, reconcile cash drawers and maintain financial records.
  • Ability to manage multiple processes, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain consistency.
  • Ability to provide effective customer service and resolve concerns.
  • Skill in engaging positively with all populations and communities, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning and work environment.
  • Skill in effectively and respectfully communicating with others.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School or equivalent additional work experience
  • 0-2 years of relevant working experience
  • Ability to obtain a ServSafe Certification during the onboarding process
