JOB SUMMARY:
The Food Services Intern supports the Food Services Department during the summer months by assisting with summer feeding activities, administrative support, and program planning initiatives. This position provides hands-on experience in food service operations, data management, and public program support while helping ensure efficient and effective service delivery. The intern will gain practical experience in food service administration, community nutrition programs, and organizational operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides hands-on support for summer feeding program operations and activities.
- Collects, enters, and maintains program and operational data.
- Assists with filing, records management, and records disposition activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Conducts research to support food service operations, program development, and special projects.
- Assists with planning and coordination of food service and nutrition-related programs and events.
- Supports administrative and operational tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation related to assigned projects and activities.
- Participates in training and professional development opportunities related to food service and program administration.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
PAY & HOURS: This position is a temporary summer intern position with a pay of $18.34 an hour.
