ABOUT THE ROLE

Ignitus Recovery is a growing behavioral health organization providing residential and outpatient treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders at Cherry Hills Recovery and AIM Health in Boulder. This role offers a unique opportunity to help build an exceptional outpatient treatment program in Boulder.

The Food Services Manager is responsible for managing daily operations of the Boulder commercial kitchen and preparing all meals for residents. The role ensures that residents have consistent access to safe, nutritious, and well-prepared food options that support the therapeutic environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare all daily meals for residents and staff, following menus and dietary requirements.

• Operate and maintain a commercial kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Plan weekly menus, incorporating nutrition, clinical recommendations, and dietary restrictions.

• Shop for groceries and supplies; manage inventory, stock rotation, and food storage.

• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen.

• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, appliances, and food prep areas.

• Coordinate meal schedules with program staff and ensure timely service.

• Support special events or holiday meals as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient kitchen operations

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Professional cooking experience, preferably in a commercial kitchen or institutional food service (hospital, school, residential program, etc.).

• Knowledge of nutrition, menu planning, and specialized diets.

• Experience preparing meals for groups of 15–40+ people.

• Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen equipment operation.

• Ability to lift 40+ pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance for food purchasing.

• Ability to pass federal, state, county, and sex offender registry background checks.

Preferred:

• Experience in residential, healthcare, or behavioral health food service.

• ServSafe or similar food-handling certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Knowledge of a trauma-informed environment
