The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all sanitation and cleaning activities within the Extended Care Food Service Department and NCC Food Services Department to ensure a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for food preparation, service, and storage.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that the kitchen and storage areas including floors, refrigerators, and freezers remain clean and sanitized
- Inspects storage and serving areas to ensure compliance with state laws and nursing home regulations
- Cleans and sanitizes food service areas in preparation for Department, City of Newark sanitation inspections and NJDOH inspections
- Manages and monitors stock delivery storage and organization for the department.
- Distributes product inventory
- Assists with meal preparation and serving line during meal times when needed.
- Participates in cleaning and sanitation with staff, as needed.
- Provides direction with meal planning, meal substitutions, and assignments of staff in the absence of the Food Director

Required Experience:
- Five (5) years of food service experience in a long-term care, nursing home, hospital, or healthcare setting.
