A Day in YOUR Life as a Food Services Supervisor
The Food Services Supervisor supervises the day-to-day activities of the Food Service Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations.

Schedule: Full-Time
Responsibilities
- Responsible to see that all work assignments are carried out properly, safely and completely within the allotted time schedule.
- Ensures that the quality and quantity of all food related services meet standards.
- Performs food service duties (cooking, trayline, cleaning, etc) on an as needed basis.
- Ensures the staff are responding promptly, safely, and efficiently to all service or customer requests.
- Ensures that there is adequate staff and supplies to meet daily needs.
- Coordinates dietary services and activities with other departments.
- Ensures that dietary work areas, storage rooms, coolers, freezers, and utility closets are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
- Assists with various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
- Assist Food Service Director in the development of in-services to improve quality in designated areas.
Required Qualifications
- Education/Training
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Training in cost control, food management, sanitation, and diet therapy
- Experience
- Two (2) years of food service work experience.
