Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Food Truck Line Cook to join our team. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to company recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies before service.
- Ensure food is prepared accurately, efficiently, and consistently during service.
- Monitor food quality and notify management of any product concerns.
Kitchen Operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations throughout each shift.
- Follow all opening, closing, and side work procedures.
- Assist with daily prep work, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and stocking ingredients.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Food Safety & Sanitation
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Properly label, store, and rotate food products using FIFO procedures.
- Maintain proper food temperatures and handling practices.
- Keep equipment, utensils, and work areas clean and sanitized at all times.
Teamwork & Efficiency
- Work collaboratively with cashiers, kitchen staff, and management to provide an excellent guest experience.
- Assist teammates as needed during busy service periods.
- Maintain a sense of urgency while ensuring food quality and accuracy.
- Be flexible and willing to perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous line cook, prep cook, restaurant, or food service experience preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Food truck, quick-service, or high-volume kitchen experience.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience working with flat-top grills, fryers, and commercial kitchen equipment.
