As a Seasonal Food Truck Employee, you will be an integral part of our team during the bustling season at our park. Your main responsibility will be to operate our food truck, serving a variety of delicious food items to our park visitors. This temporary position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and vibrant environment while contributing to an enjoyable experience for guests visiting the park during this special time of the year.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Welcome park visitors with a friendly demeanor, take food orders, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive and satisfying dining experience.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and assemble a diverse menu of food items efficiently, following standard recipes and ensuring high-quality presentation.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Strictly adhere to food safety guidelines, ensuring the proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Cash Handling: Process customer payments accurately and efficiently, handle cash transactions, and utilize electronic payment systems when necessary.
- Operational Support: Participate in setting up the food truck before each shift, ensuring all equipment is in working order and the truck is well-stocked. Help with the breakdown and cleaning of the food truck at the end of each day.
- Upselling and Promotion: Proactively suggest additional menu items, specials, or promotions to enhance the dining experience and potentially increase sales
- Collaboration: Foster a cooperative and harmonious work environment by working closely with fellow team members and effectively communicating any customer feedback or operational concerns to management.
Requirements:
- Availability: This is a seasonal position, and candidates must be available to work during the park's designated seasonal period, which may include weekends and night shifts
- Customer-Focused: A dedication to delivering excellent customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere for park visitors.
- Food Handling Knowledge: Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices. A valid food handler's certificate is advantageous.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and ensure smooth operations.
- Adaptability: The capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing situations or customer demands.
- Reliability: Punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility to ensure the food truck operates effectively during peak hours.
Working Conditions:
This position involves working in a mobile food truck environment located within the park. The job may require working outdoors, so being prepared for varying weather conditions is essential. The seasonal nature of the position may require flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate peak visitor times.

Applicants must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during our operating season.

Please note: From September 24 through November 1, Scream-A-Geddon operates continuously on scheduled event nights, making full availability during this period highly preferred.
