At Colliers, enterprising people power our growth. In this role, you’ll be the on-the-ground expert ensuring Chick-fil-A kitchens and facility systems perform to spec. You’ll operate with independence in your local market, supported by a robust network of OEM training, diagnostics resources, and responsive operations teams.
Role focus
- Perform end-to-end equipment lifecycle tasks: troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, installation, and removal.
- Maintain commercial cooking platforms, sealed refrigeration, specialty foodservice equipment, and base building HVAC systems.
- Meet service level agreements by responding promptly to Operator requests.
- Service and calibrate equipment from Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, and Garland grills.
- Partner with manufacturers for advanced diagnosis and accurate parts identification; complete professional installations of ordered parts.
- Work in tandem with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team to resolve complex issues onsite.
- Execute precise documentation: work orders, timekeeping, receipts, truck stock inventory, using mobile tools and Microsoft Office.
- Maintain an orderly vehicle, tool set, and parts inventory to maximize field efficiency.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for urgent needs.
- Adhere to safety standards and accident-prevention procedures without exception.
- Pursue continuous OEM training/certifications; engage productively with equipment partners, suppliers, and vendors.
- Consistently achieve productivity metrics aligned with company benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Technical trade program and/or significant hands-on experience; minimum 5+ years in a related trade (or equivalent).
- Expertise in one or more: sealed refrigeration/HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, hot-side cooking systems, or mechanical power transmission.
- Background in servicing kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems.
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance and a safe driving history (MVR required); able to operate company vehicles safely.
- Mechanical aptitude; fluent in reading schematics/diagrams; strong troubleshooting capability.
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service applications; excellent written/verbal communication.
- Self-directed, dependable, and service-oriented.

Territory travel
- 100% field travel within a defined local market.
- Limited overnight travel, primarily for onboarding and training.
Physical requirements
- Availability for extended work during emergencies/priority events (with overtime).
- Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (ladder safety training provided). Roof access ladders are provided; loading/unloading a large ladder from the van is not typical.
- Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
- Extended periods of standing and walking on even/uneven surfaces.
- Frequent arm, wrist, and hand use to operate tools/machinery.
- Work indoors/outdoors in varying weather.
