Purpose and Scope:

The Global Forecasting and Market Research Expert plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality insights to support decision-making at Astellas. Reporting to the Global Brand & Pipeline Insights Chapter Lead within the Customer Engagement Excellence (CEE) team, this position is will be responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate view of the Global market conditions for the assigned product(s) and TAs, providing primary and secondary market research, forecasting inputs and competitive intelligence. This position is also responsible for supporting launch preparations and maintaining an accurate picture of assigned product performance globally along with the risks and opportunities. Operating within an Agile model, the Lead will be assigned to a Value Team under the Brand@Center model.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Value Team Delivery

  • Deliver day-to-day tasks and responsibilities as defined by the Value Team's mandate, Value Team Mandates a based on business objectives)

  • Support the Value Team Lead in executing the team's strategy and objectives,

  • Apply expertise to address and resolve specific business challenges identified by the Value Team, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes as defined by the objectives

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to accomplish prioritized objectives and deliverables.

  • Area specific Responsibility & Accountability

  • Lead global commercial analysis activities for assigned product(s). Provide forward looking insights to advance understanding of the relevant markets with the aim of delivering major competitive advantage for Astellas' products and development strategy

  • Lead the identification of information needs, development of market research/data analysis plan, execution of the research process, and communication of actionable insights within assigned products, covering SBM, region and local business decisions

  • Develop deep understanding of the market landscape which includes market potential, market trends, unmet medical and patient needs, market access challenges and competitors' trend for each of the assigned products

  • Collaborate with Finance to provide forecasting expertise to the GBSM, support the long-range forecast and reconcile financial assumptions to ensure consistency of forecasts across regions

  • Provide overall Product market intelligence guidance to the GBSM team

  • Communicate key business findings and insights to the relevant cross functional stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and participate in initiatives to improve team effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Skill Development and Learning:

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and capability building, leveraging guidance from the Chapter Lead.

  • Compliance and Best Practices:

  • Adhere to established standards, policies, and leading practices relevant to the Value Team and Chapter, ensuring compliance in areas such as Pharmacovigilance and E&C in Market Research

  • Agile:

  • Utilize agile approaches, collaborate in agile ceremonies and Ways of Working to ensure effective delivery for the business
