Summary:
Our client handles civil matters and other legal proceedings related to creditors’ rights, including drafting legal documents and advising clients on these issues. Attorneys may focus on a specific area of creditors’ rights law or work across multiple areas. Given the nature of the practice, attorneys should expect a high-volume caseload, with a strong focus on short-term crisis management and problem-solving.
Responsibilities: - Represent clients in municipal, state, and federal courts, including filings, oral arguments, evidence preparation, and witness examination.
- Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, contested cases, and appellate work (briefs, oral arguments, client communication).
- Negotiate with opposing counsel and pro se parties; pursue settlements within client parameters.
- Advise clients on case strategy, transactions, liability, and legal rights; provide regular updates.
- Supervise paralegals and legal assistants supporting case management.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations; analyze case outcomes based on precedent.
- Draft, review, and update legal documents and case management templates.
- Collaborate with colleagues in specialized areas of law as needed.
Requirements- Juris Doctorate degree
- Admission to the Florida Bar
- 4-6 years of legal experience as a law clerk or attorney
- Notary Public strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization and prioritization skills
- Must be able to manage a large portfolio of cases
