Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paralegal to support attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice focused on foreclosure, eviction, and bankruptcy matters. The ideal candidate will manage a high volume of case files, ensure strict compliance with court deadlines, and provide comprehensive legal and administrative support from case intake through resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume caseload and track all deadlines from intake through final resolution
- Draft, prepare, and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, notices, and related filings
- File documents with state and federal courts, including electronic filing (e-filing) systems
- Assist attorneys with foreclosure, eviction, and bankruptcy proceedings, including proofs of claim and motions for relief from stay
- Coordinate service of process and monitor ongoing case activity and status updates
- Communicate professionally with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and other parties regarding case matters
- Prepare case files, exhibits, and materials for hearings, trials, and court appearances
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure proper handling of confidential and sensitive information
- Support attorneys with general litigation tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in foreclosure, eviction, bankruptcy, or litigation
- Hands-on experience with state and federal e-filing systems
- Strong knowledge of legal procedures and court filing requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience in creditor rights or real estate-related litigation
- Familiarity with bankruptcy court procedures and documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure
