Talis Group’s client is an established law firm near New Albany, Indiana and is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in either foreclosure law, collections, real estate litigation or similar. This role supports attorneys in all aspects of foreclosure proceedings, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
This position is full time, on site, and offers a full benefits package. Hours are: 8:30 - 5:00pm
Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and file legal documents related to foreclosure proceedings, including complaints, motions, and affidavits.
- Manage case files and track deadlines to ensure timely filings and compliance with court schedules.
- Conduct legal research and verify documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel regarding case status and procedural requirements.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials by organizing case materials and drafting legal correspondence.
- Maintain and update foreclosure case management databases.
- Ensure compliance with applicable foreclosure laws and regulations, including state and federal guidelines.
- Coordinate foreclosure sales and related legal processes.
Highlighted Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in foreclosure law or real estate litigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Kentucky AND Indiana foreclosure laws and procedures is preferred.
