Position Summary

The Foreign Language Teacher will deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that promotes language acquisition, cultural understanding, and student confidence in communication. The ideal candidate is passionate about world languages, skilled in classroom management, and committed to student achievement.
Essential Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with New York State learning standards
• Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in the target language
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
• Incorporate cultural studies and real-world applications into instruction
• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold school expectations

• Bachelor's degree in Foreign Language Education or related field required
• Valid New York State teaching certification in the appropriate foreign language preferred
• Prior teaching experience preferred
