Calhoun Construction Services is a growing Kentucky-based construction firm that offers a comprehensive range of services, including pre-construction, construction management, design-build, facility maintenance, renewable energy, and general contracting. We also provide self-perform capabilities in metal stud framing & drywall, concrete, and flooring, allowing for greater control and quality assurance on projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Plan, schedule, and coordinate concrete construction activities to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure that projects are executed efficiently, within budget constraints, and in adherence to quality standards
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to optimize project outcomes
- Supervise and lead construction crews, providing guidance and direction to ensure tasks are completed safely and accurately
- Motivate and inspire team members to maintain high levels of productivity and quality workmanship
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, expectations, and updates.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the construction site
- Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Monitor construction processes to ensure work meets specified standards and adheres to project specifications
- Implement quality control measures to identify and address any issues promptly
- Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and manpower
- Manage inventory and procure necessary materials in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Foster clear and open communication channels among team members, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
- Provide regular project updates to upper management and participate in progress meetings

Requirements: - 3+ years of onsite experience and knowledge of commercial construction as a foreman with a focus on concrete projects
- Advanced skills in organizing construction sites and field personnel
- Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills (Spanish speaking is plus, but not required)
- Demonstrated skills in organizing and evaluating information
- Must possess personal integrity and a superior reputation
- Current Driver’s License
