Foreman – Electrical Construction
Performs supervisory responsibilities for managing all on-site aspects of electrical construction projects up to $30M in size. This individual is accountable for providing daily direction and leadership to on-site personnel to ensure quality installation, adherence to project schedules, and compliance with labor budgets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades and the general contractor to identify and resolve conflicts
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, inspectors, and other trades
- Manage, track, and meet project schedules and labor budgets
- Ensure all installations meet quality standards and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
- Initiate requisitions for supplies, tools, and equipment
- Supervise the operation of the entire project
- Enforce safety regulations, rules, and working conditions in compliance with company and OSHA standards
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 10 years of related experience, including supervisory or lead experience
- Considerable experience as a journeyman electrician or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Proven experience managing projects in the $2M+ range
- Strong communication skills required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations
- Ability to supervise and lead skilled electricians
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and coordination skills with stakeholders, including supervisors, team members, vendors, and clients
