Description
Essential Duties
Coordinate activities with administrators, field supervisors, the public, and co-workers, and perform work within his/her trade certification when required.
Initiate discussions and seek solutions on a regular basis concerning work-related issues such as design conflicts, cost variance and personnel conflicts.
Review work requests to determine personnel requirements, procure necessary materials, ensure tools and equipment are available, and adhere to the schedule provided by the customer and/or project manager.
Respond effectively to inquiries or concerns from the customer.
Obtain weekly cost reports and other administrative requirements from the customer within specified timelines.
Complete daily field reports and JSA's.
Education & Training
High school diploma or equivalent, required
Minimum Arkansas Journeyman's License required.
Skills & Experience
Working knowledge of:
Design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models
Standards, practices, materials, tools and equipment used for the construction, repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds or equipment in his/her area of expertise
Job related safety regulations and techniques
A basic understanding of department operating budget(s)
A current valid driver's license is required
Other Potential Tasks
Willingness to travel, long term or short term, is preferred but not required.
