JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing functional and technical leadership in the field, training on tools and equipment, worker safety training, accident/incident reporting, quality control, supply and material procurement. The Foreman is responsible for the following duties, but not limited to:
Conduct thorough park & building inspections on a regular basis including but not limited to:
- Building maintenance
Construction and maintenance
Building inspection
Special event set-up and tear down
Seasonal duties
Plumbing and electrical repair and installations
Conduct thorough park & building inspections on a regular basis
Troubleshoot issues and performs diagnosis
Recommend repairs or replacement
Research costs and contributes to budget projections
Perform project staging, makes repairs, supervises and directs work projects
May advise others in the techniques pertinent to the specialized area of interest
Develop preventative maintenance schedules and ensures activities are completed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have an Associate's degree or professional certification in a building trade, or related field. Will consider significant and material experience in lieu of formal education.
- At least seven (7) years of relevant experience required.
- Certification in a skilled trade (e.g., welding, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical) required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
- Additional licenses or certifications, including EPA, CPO, and other job-related credentials, may be required.
- Relevant professional certifications and active participation in professional associations preferred.
- Valid Illinois driver's license required..
SCHEDULING & PAY:
- This is a full time, year round hourly (non-exempt) position working Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
- Potential for schedule change based on department needs. Must be available for required overtime, special events and weather related duties.
- Target hiring range is $34.98 - $38.92 / hour ($72,758.40-$80,944.25).
