Primary Purpose Maintain all district properties in a condition of safety and attractiveness so that the exterior and interior of buildings will be in a satisfactory condition

Qualifications

Education

Certification High school diploma or GED Valid Texas driver&rsquos license

Special KnowledgeSkills Knowledge of painting repairs and painting techniques Knowledge of painting equipment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and color schedules Ability to perform mathematical calculations Ability to diagnose and resolve problems Ability to use hand and power tools

Experience 3-5 years&rsquo experience in painting field

Major Responsibilities and Duties Receive and complete work orders Coordinate supervise andparticipatein the maintenance of all paint and furniture finishing andGlazing work in the district facilities Assign duties supervise and inspect completed work Confer with school principals and district administratorsin regard tomaintainingbuildings Interpret plans and read color schedules Train subordinates to perform skills in duties as required to accomplish jobgoal Estimate andprocuresupplies and equipment as needed to fulfill job duties Establish painting schedules for district facilities On call247 for emergencies and vandalism Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities
