Job Description
Foreman
We are currently partnered with a thriving Concrete contractor in Alabama who are in search of a Foreman to join the team and help drive the continued growth of the business. The Foreman reports directly to the General Superintendent and is responsible for managing crews onsite, typically running 1-3 projects at a time. This is a larger company, but they focus on smaller concrete packages ($1.5M average contract). This allows them to capitalize on margins and reward their employees more often. The company has a reputation for being tight-knit and having a great internal culture. They value the ability to lead and organize skilled crews, and will happily hire an individual with this ability today!
Job Description
- Lead daily field operations for concrete construction projects, including foundations, pads, and structural projects
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate crew members and material vendors onsite. This includes carpenters, rod busters, operators, etc.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Monitor job progress, maintain quality control, and uphold project timelines.
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies across the jobsite.
- Work closely with General Superintendent and Project Manager to address jobsite challenges and document daily activities.
- Mentor and develop less experienced crew members

The Successful Applicant
- Proven knowledge of construction techniques and industry standards.
- Experience leading crews of 5+
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of construction work.
- Desire to work in the greater Birmingham area
