Accountant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join the growing Commercial Litigation department. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting operations, ensuring financial compliance, tax returns and providing strategic financial insights. If you are a motivated professional with a strong background in accounting and a commitment to excellence, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and examine financial statements for accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and regulations.
- Perform and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct regular financial audits and ensure adherence to internal controls.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and financial analysts.
- Maintain and update accounting records and files with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial laws, regulations, and policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an accountant, with a thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Quickbooks. 
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CFE or CFF
