Job Description Summary:

Responsible for all phases of continuous candy-making processes, including the operation of computer-based process control systems. Assembles and disassembles equipment, pumps, and piping associated with premixing, cooking, and depositing. Operates CIP (cleaning in place) systems dedicated to continuous candy making processes.  Starting Hourly Rate: $35.24

Job Description:

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintains documents on daily procedures. 

  • Assists Maintenance and R&D personnel with diagnosing system faults and preventative action.  

  • Overseethe daily operations of the productionFloor.

  • Ensuring Recipes, safety protocols and outputs schedulearekeptefficiently.

  • ForepersonbridgebetweenSupervisorsand line workers tomaintainconsistent product quality and strict sanitation standards.

  • Responsibilitiesincludeprioritizing daily tasksand executingproductionschedulesto hit outputgoals.

  • Coordinate Workflow across multiple stationssuch asBatchingingredients, cooking,forming, wrapping, sorting, Packing, Labeling,palletizing.

  • Ensuresfinishedproducts orconfectionsmeetexact specifications for taste,texture,and appearance; this involves monitoring cookingtemperatures and machine calibrations to prevent defects.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Enforcing Good ManufacturingPractices (GMP), OSHA requirements, and strict food safety protocols tomaintaina sanitary workplace.

TeamLeadership:

  • Training Operators,foster teamworkand resolveconflicts.

EquipmentMaintenanceand troubleshooting

  • Collaboratingwiththemaintenance Department to fix, clean or adjustmachinery.

Documentation:

  • Keepingaccuraterecords of ingredients usage, batchtimes,and production waste

  • Ensure Operators followall standard procedures while operating machines.

  • EnsureLine workersfollowall procedures while sorting,weighting,and Packing Products.

  • Ensure Production Team collaborate with other teams’members tooptimizeworkflow.

  • EnsureOperatorsand Production Specialistsareresponsible formaintaininga clean,Organized,and safework environmentin accordance withhousekeeping standards.

  • EnsureOperators and Production Specialistsadhere to safety protocols and follow all safety procedures, including OSHA regulationsand lockout/tagout requirements.

  • Forperson’srolerequires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to workin a fast-pacedenvironment.Must be familiar withallequipmentused bytheProduction Team

EQUIPMENT USED: WalkieTalkie,ApprovedScrapper,scissors, knife cutter,andscrewdriver.

KNOWLEDGE/TRAINING:  Food Safety,GMP’s,PPE(Sleeves, gloves, safety Shoes, Safety Glasses,ear plugs, etc.)

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Candy forming and wrapping machine operation and monitoring. Inspect candy consistency in size and shape. Adjust machine settings for different candy types or production requirements. Install and adjust partas neededfor the right operation andcontrolsdefects.Record production data
  • Follows food safety requirements and hygiene protocols. 
  • Document allProductiondowntimesduring working shift.

SCHEDULE:

  • Must be available to work any shift as required by operational needs.
  • Shifts may begin in the early morning or in the afternoon.
  • Employee may be assigned to either a 4/10 schedule or a 5/8 schedule based on operational requirements. The assigned schedule may change periodically to meet business needs.
