Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience required
• Experience in metal manufacturing, forging, machining, or production environments is a plus
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Job Duties

• Perform final surface inspection and conditioning of forged parts before shipment
• Apply product identification markings according to specifications
• Prepare furnace loads based on material type and production requirements
• Verify part counts, straightness, and flatness before and after heat treatment
• Perform cold and hot straightening of materials as needed
• Conduct hardness inspections on forged products
• Assist with furnace startup and monitor heat treatment processes
• Support production operations and maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
• Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Steel-toed boots required

What You Will Do

As a Forge Apprentice you will support daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting finished goods, packaging materials, maintaining production standards, and following established work instructions. You will help keep production areas clean and organized, monitor product quality, meet production goals, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

The Forge Apprentice is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through production activities that help create quality finished products. This role requires dependability, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently follow production procedures.
