Fork Lift Operator Warehouse

DAMASCUS BAKERIES is a 3rd Generation Bakery founded in 1930. We have three baking facilities: Brooklyn, New York; Newark, NJ, Clifton NJ. Our products include Pitas, Lavash, Wraps, Flatbreads, Pizza Crusts, Breadsticks, Sandwich Buns, and more. We have a very strong- and even historic- presence in the Metro New York market. Since 2000, we have expanded our capacity and distribution to the National Market, supplying and partnering with many of America's top QSR's, Casual Dining Restaurants, Food Service Establishments, Retail, Club and Natural Stores, Institutions, Distributors, and other Bakeries. For many of our customers, we have been the Product Development arm that has created some of America's most Successful and Award Winning Flatbreads.

We are a 24/7 operation and we are seeking a very 'Hands-On' Team player to help us with our continued growth in the Warehouse department. The incumbent must be willing to work weekends, be flexible with shift rotations and be in full support of our 24/7 operation.

We are seeking the following support:

Warehouse/Forklift

· Must be able to drive a stand up reach forklift

· Must be forklift certified

· Must have Freezer working experience at a 10 degree environment

· New Crown equipment experience required

· Must be able to learn multiple freezer programs, IE scanning and scan guns

· Must be able to keep production supplied by operating a forklift to retrieve materials and supplies

· Assist with planning supply and material requirements via production schedule; scheduling deliveries to production

· area

· Retrieve supplies and materials by studying specifications; locating and verifying supplies and materials secures pallet on truck; moves pallet to production location

· Maintain inventory in production area by anticipating and tracking usage

· Monitor inventory by reporting discrepancies

· Clearing production area by securing and moving finished pallets; moving empty pallets

· Document actions by logging movement of supplies, materials, and finished goods

· Maintain safe work environment by watching out for foot traffic; following standards and procedures; in compliance with legal regulations

· Keep forklift operating by following operating instructions

· Must be willing and flexible to work different 3 shift times

REQUIREMENTS

· High school diploma or GED

· Bilingual Preferred
