Job Title: Forklift Driver – Frozen Department
Department: Frozen / Cold Storage
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Manager
Shift:5AM-2PM
The Forklift Driver in the Frozen Department is responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely and efficiently move, load, unload, and stack materials in a frozen storage environment. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in cold temperatures.
Operate forklifts and other equipment in a safe and effective manner.
Load and unload trailers with frozen goods.
Move pallets to and from designated areas within the frozen department.
Perform inventory checks and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Ensure product integrity and quality standards are maintained.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures, especially for cold storage.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the freezer area.
Conduct daily equipment checks and report any maintenance issues.
Work closely with warehouse team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid forklift certification required.
1 years of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center.
Experience working in cold/frozen environments is highly preferred.
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -10°F (-23°C) for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
Comfortable working in cold/frozen environments.
Standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
