Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced and dependable Forklift Driver to support busy warehouse and manufacturing operations in the Springdale area. This position is responsible for safely moving materials, loading and unloading shipments, staging products, and maintaining an efficient flow of inventory throughout the facility.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of forklift operating experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong safety awareness, dependable attendance, and the ability to accurately handle materials while meeting daily production and shipping requirements.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience required
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution experience preferred
Experience operating sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts
Ability to safely maneuver forklifts in active warehouse environments
Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
Ability to inspect materials and identify visible damage
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Ability to follow material-handling and inventory procedures
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and as part of a warehouse team
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
Transport raw materials throughout the facility
Move finished products to designated warehouse locations
Stage materials for production, shipping, and receiving
Organize products and inventory according to warehouse requirements
Verify product counts and material quantities
Inspect incoming and outgoing products for visible damage
Assist with maintaining accurate inventory movement
Follow established material-handling procedures
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
Follow all company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements
Assist with additional warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned
Forklift Responsibilities
Candidates may operate:
Sit-down forklifts
Stand-up forklifts
Other powered material-handling equipment as assigned
Daily responsibilities include safely transporting products, staging materials, loading and unloading freight, and maintaining awareness of pedestrians and other equipment throughout the facility.
Shipping & Receiving Support
Unload incoming shipments
Move received products to appropriate locations
Stage outgoing materials for shipment
Load trucks and trailers safely and efficiently
Verify product counts before material movement
Identify damaged or incorrect products
Help ensure materials are properly positioned for shipping and receiving operations
Inventory & Material Handling
Transport raw materials and finished goods
Maintain organized inventory locations
Stage materials according to production requirements
Follow established inventory movement procedures
Help maintain accurate product quantities and locations
Report inventory or material discrepancies
Support efficient movement of products throughout warehouse and manufacturing areas
Equipment Inspection & Safety
Perform daily forklift inspections before operation
Identify and report equipment maintenance concerns
Operate forklifts according to company safety requirements
Maintain awareness of surrounding employees and equipment
Keep aisles and material-handling areas free of hazards
Follow all required PPE and OSHA safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of forklift operating experience
Sit-down forklift experience
Stand-up forklift experience
Manufacturing warehouse experience
Distribution center experience
Shipping and receiving experience
Inventory control experience
Loading and unloading experience
Material staging experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as needed
Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts repeatedly throughout the workday
Comfortable performing physically active warehouse responsibilities
Ability to safely work around forklifts, trucks, trailers, inventory, and manufacturing equipment
Ability to perform assigned duties while wearing required PPE
