Forklift Driver - Freezer

FORKLIFT DRIVER – FREEZER

Duties:

1. The Forklift Driver-Freezer is responsible for the movement of product associated with the operation of the distribution center, both in and out of the freezer environment, in accordance with BEF guidelines.
2. Maintains records as required on computer system and/or manually.
3. Loads/Unloads trucks, containers and rail cars.
4. Fills customer orders as required.
5. Sorts and handles empty pallets as required.
6. Transports pallets, fiber, and other supplies and materials as required.
7. Performs operational maintenance of vehicles including filling out of daily checklist.
8. Follows proper safety and operational procedures in the handling of all products and the operation of all equipment.
9. Changes battery in material handling equipment as necessary and follows proper battery room procedures.
10. Attends and participates in training classes as required.
11. Assists in all housekeeping functions in order to maintain a clean and safe work area.
12. Performs other duties assigned by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be able to efficiently operate mobile and stationary computer equipment as required to maintain inventory records.
2. Must be a trained and BEF certified lift truck operator. Must be able to safely and efficiently operate all material handling equipment including lift truck, powered and manual pallet jack, pull pack attachment, clamp attachment and powered sweeper.
3. Must be knowledgeable of all battery room equipment and procedures.
4. Must understand and know how to operate trailer refrigeration units.
5. Must be knowledgeable and accurate in basic mathematics.
6. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
7. Must be knowledgeable of all safety rules and procedures and be willing to follow them.
8. Must be physically capable of performing all duties.
