Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, and stack products in our distribution center. This role requires a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols while efficiently handling materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and containers, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes.
- Move products to designated areas within the warehouse, maintaining an organized inventory system.
- Perform order picking tasks using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of materials when necessary.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain operational efficiency and safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in materials handling within a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- Familiarity with order picking processes and RF scanner technology.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork with warehouse staff and supervisors.
