Forklift Operator Job Description
Position Summary:
A Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating industrial trucks to move, locate, stack, and count materials within a warehouse, distribution center, or worksite. This role ensures efficient handling of goods while maintaining safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, or loading docks
- Stack and organize products in designated areas
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required paperwork
- Follow all workplace safety standards and OSHA regulations
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed (packing, labeling, cleaning)
