$19/hr Job Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, stack, and transport materials within a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing facility, or outdoor storage area. This position ensures products are handled efficiently while maintaining safety, quality, and inventory accuracy. Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
Move materials to designated storage, production, or shipping locations.
Stack and organize products according to company procedures.
Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
Verify inventory and product counts for accuracy.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations as needed.
Complete required documentation and inventory records.
Identify and report damaged products, equipment, or safety hazards.
Support team members and supervisors to meet productivity goals.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
Ability to obtain or maintain forklift certification.
Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with heavier items moved using equipment.
Ability to work in varying warehouse or outdoor environmental conditions.
Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
Preferred Skills
Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
Experience operating different types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or pallet jack equipment.
Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Work Environment
Warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.
May require overtime, weekend work, or shift flexibility based on business needs.
Requires adherence to all safety procedures and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
