Forklift Loader 2nd Shift

Overview:

The Forklift – Truck loader will have experience operating forklifts, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. As a Forklift Loader, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks carrying roofing panels, coils and other materials, organizing warehouse inventory, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods.

Shift Time: 2nd Shift 2pm - 10:30pm

KeyResponsibilities:

• Safelyoperate forkliftstoload and unload materialsfromtrucksand trailers.
  

• Verifytheaccuracyofloadordersandensurepropermaterialshandlingtoprevent damage.
  

• Stackandorganizeproductsandmaterialssafelyandefficiently.
  

• Assistinmaintainingaccurateinventoryrecordsbydocumentingmaterialmovements.
  

• Ensurethewarehouseiskeptcleanandorganized,storingmaterialsindesignated areas.
  

• Participateinregularhousekeepingactivitiestomaintainasafeandefficientwork environment.
  

•   Adheretoallsafetyprotocolsandguidelineswhileoperatingforkliftsandhandling materials.
  

• Conduct pre-operational checks on forklifts and immediately report any maintenanceor safety issues. 
  

• Wearappropriatepersonalprotectiveequipment(PPE)andfollowsafetyinstructions.
  

• Participateinsafetytrainingsessionsand contributetoaworkplacesafety culture.
  

• Workcloselywithotherwarehousestaffandsupervisorstoensuresmoothandefficient operations.
  

• Identify and report any damaged materials to the supervisor.
  

• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any issues or concerns.
  

• Assistwithbi-annualplantinventories.   
  

• Performotherrelateddutiesas assigned.
  

• Scan all order being loaded on delivery trucks

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of forklift operation and material handling procedures.

• Ability to read and understand load orders and inventory documents.

• Excellent attention todetail andorganizationalskills

• Goodcommunicationandteamworkabilities.

• Physicalstaminaand theabilitytoliftandmoveheavy materials.

• Minimumof1-2yearsofexperienceoperatingforkliftsinawarehouse or industrialsetting.

• Must understand truck mapping to ensure trucks are loaded correctly, weight distributed evenly, and do not exceed truck weight capacity.
