    Description

    What your day looks like

You start your morning in Cary, IL, on our 1st Shift (7:30 am–4:00 pm, Monday–Friday). After a quick handoff with the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll power up a sit-down forklift and begin moving materials from floor locations to shelving that reaches at least five levels high. Throughout the day, you’ll pick items from stacked racks and deliver them to production machines so our operation can run around the clock and meet customer ship dates.

You’ll keep a close eye on inventory using RF scanners, update counts, and complete allocation sheets so every production area has exactly what it needs. When trucks arrive, you’ll load and unload, stage and prep orders for shipment, and put away returned or unused materials. You’ll also help with general upkeep of the warehouse to keep aisles clear and equipment ready.

    Core responsibilities

    • Supply production areas with materials to maintain 24-hour productivity and on-time shipments.
    • Track on-hand inventory and complete allocation sheets for material requests.
    • Load/unload trucks; prep, label, and stage outbound orders.
    • Return/put away used materials and perform general warehouse maintenance.
    • Collaborate with team members across departments to uphold customer specifications and quality standards.

    Must-have experience and skills

    • 2+ years of accident-free sit-down forklift operation.
    • 2+ years in shipping and receiving: loading/unloading with a forklift; reading and creating shipping labels.
    • Demonstrated ability to move product from floor locations to shelving at least five levels high and to pick from stacked shelving and deliver to machines using a forklift.
    • Inventory counting experience and proficiency with RF scanners.
    • Ability to repeatedly lift 35–60 lbs from floor to shoulder and 10–35 lbs from shoulder to overhead; push 200–400 lbs using a cart, hand truck, or pallet jack.
    • Measurement skills to 1/16 of an inch using a ruler; strong basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
    • Reliable, able to work independently; basic keyboarding and data entry skills.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

    Bonus points

    • Automatic shrink wrapper experience.
    • Familiarity with balers.
    • Experience with FedEx, UPS, and WorldShip.
