POSITION SUMMARY: Role: Forklift Material Handler – 1st Shift Pay: $21.50 – $22.50/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00AM – 2:30PM
Reports to: Logistics Manager What You’ll Do: - Utilize a forklift and reach lift to safely and efficiently transport materials throughout the warehouse and to production lines.
- Accurately record material movements using handheld inventory systems to maintain real-time inventory visibility.
- Reconcile materials from completed jobs and return unused materials to designated storage locations.
- Operate reach lifts and sit-down/stand-up forklifts to place pallets in assigned racking locations.
- Stage and organize materials for upcoming production jobs to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain First-In/First-Out (FIFO) inventory practices to meet product quality and expiration requirements.
- Perform daily housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Support team operations by completing additional tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: - Forklift Experience Required
- Reach lift Experience Required
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: - Lift up to 50-75lbs occasionally
- Attention to Detail
- Able to Accurately Perform Repetitive Tasks
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EQUIPMENT: - This is a warehouse position inside a warm and dry facility.
- This position requires work in a warehouse roasting facility that requires constant standing on concrete floors, exposed to loud equipment noise and subject to coffee dust strong odors.
- Personal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory.
WORK HABITS: - Regular attendance and promptness are required for this position.
- Some work may be required outside of the normal work week.
