Forklift Material Handler

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Forklift Material Handler in Greenville, SC for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Forklift Material Handler will safely move assets and materials throughout the facility using forklifts, tugs, trailers, and other material-handling equipment. This role includes processing movement requests through an asset-management system, scanning materials to maintain accurate tracking records, and ensuring items are relocated without damage.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with up to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Forklift or lift-equipment operating experience.
• Ability to safely move materials and assets throughout a facility.
• Ability to use scanners to track and document material movements.
• Ability to receive, process, and close material-movement requests in an asset-management system.
• Ability to walk throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Customer-service skills.
• Ability to follow established safety and material-handling procedures.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with internal personnel.

Preferred Skills

• Trailer or tug operating experience.
• 1–2 years of lift-equipment operating experience.
• 1–2 years of customer-service experience.
• Experience using computerized asset-management or material-tracking systems.

What You’ll Do

• Move assets and materials safely throughout the facility.
• Prevent damage to materials during handling and transportation.
• Review and complete material-movement requests.
• Operate forklifts, tugs, trailers, and other equipment as assigned.
• Use handheld scanners to record material movements.
• Update asset-management records accurately.
• Transport materials to designated production, storage, or staging areas.
• Coordinate material movement with internal customers and facility personnel.
• Inspect equipment and work areas for potential safety issues.
• Support additional material-handling activities as assigned.

Pay

• $20.00–$25.00 per hour
