Forklift Mechanic
The Cox Group is looking for a well-qualified Forklift Mechanic at our large distribution center in Woodruff, SC. Under the appropriate supervision with latitude for independent judgment, the this position performs preventative maintenance and equipment repairs to insure the safe operation of material handling equipment. Implements, coordinates and assists in the application of procedures pertaining to general maintenance. Duties may require manual, clerical and data entry skills.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all forklift equipment is operating properly and safely.
- Operates all material handling equipment required.
- Ensure maintenance tasks throughout the facilities are being completed according to schedule.
- Responsible for the inspection and repair of doors, dock plates, racking and additional equipment.
- Maintains forklift and building maintenance operational history by initiating and updating records.
- Perform equipment and building audits
- Coordinate and track preventative maintenance
- Initiate and schedule repairs
- Perform repairs on equipment
- Maintains safe work environment.
- Monitor and maintain battery maintenance.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with various types of Material Handling equipment including Forklifts, Order pickers, Clamp trucks
- Verifiable knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical operations.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Computer experience
- Technical courses and training a plus.
- Ability to work on any shift assigned as needed to support operations.
