About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Forklift Operators for a third-party logistics and warehousing company in Spencer, IA. What You'll Do as a Forklift Operator:- Operate powered industrial forklifts to move, stack, and organize products throughout the warehouse
- Complete daily forklift inspections and follow all operating procedures and safety guidelines
- Load and unload trucks, receive shipments, and put away inventory
- Pick products and transport materials accurately using scanning equipment
- Assist with inventory control and maintain organized warehouse storage areas
- Identify and report damaged products, inventory shortages, or discrepancies
- Replace propane tanks and/or charge forklift batteries as needed
What You Need to Bring to the Forklift Operator Role:- High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 1 year of forklift or lift truck operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
- Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Forklift certification (training provided)
- SAP scanning experience is a plus
- Inventory control experience preferred
- Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment and follow established procedures
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements, if applicable #WEjobhunt
