Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-driven Forklift Operator to support warehouse and production operations. This position involves handling a wide range of products, including bags of peanuts, palletized chicken, aluminum cans, and kegs. The ideal candidate must have experience operating a forklift with a dual clamp attachment and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) and dual clamp attachments to safely move materials
- Transport and stage products including bulk peanut bags, pallets of chicken, aluminum cans, and kegs
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while maintaining product integrity
- Stack, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse and production areas
- Handle products carefully to prevent damage, especially when using clamp equipment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, particularly when handling poultry products
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate inventory movements and assist with cycle counts
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Qualifications:- Previous forklift experience required (dual clamp experience strongly preferred)
- Forklift certification preferred
- Experience in food processing, beverage, or warehouse environments is a plus
- Ability to operate specialized attachments (dual clamp) safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Physical Requirements:- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to sit, stand, and operate equipment for extended periods
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas
Work Environment:- Warehouse and production setting
- Exposure to food products, allergens (peanuts), and raw poultry
- Handling of beverage materials (aluminum cans and kegs)
- Required use of PPE (gloves, safety vest, steel-toe boots, etc.)
