Job Description
Position Title: Forklift Operator
Position Reports To: Field Foreman
Position Summary
A Forklift Operator shall perform general site work such as loading and unloading equipment and materials, site clean-up and preparation, mobilization, and demobilization to and from the jobsite, and general construction tasks.
Essential Functions
Follow verbal directions as required to perform duties and responsibilities as listed below.
Heavy lifting will often be required to perform tasks.
Clean-up of work area, supplies, materials, and equipment.
Communicate regularly with the Field Foreman with regard to issues and concerns on the job site.
Comply with all Apache and client safety policies and programs.
Maintain a reliable attendance record
Always maintains a clean and safe work environment
Work unsupervised in an efficient and effective manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Valid certification to operate forklifts
Minimum 0-1 years of experience as forklift operator or similar role
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Unload and upload material
Good knowledge of industrial equipment
Identify damages
Report shortages
Report quality deficiencies
Transport raw materials to production workstations
Inspect machinery
Determine the need for repairs
Keep updated records of inventory
Produce activity logs
Comply with company policies and guidelines
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Must be able to work in high noise volumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, dusty conditions, hazardous machinery, precarious places, proximity to other employees.
