One of the most prominent American horticultural companies in North America is in the market for (2) Machine Operators – they are the leading supplier of soiless growing mixes to America’s top 100 greenhouse and nursery growers

 

  • This client runs three lines and they basically all do the same thing with line 1 being more manual – bagging product, sealing product and then the machine packages it; the new line 3 is a Hamer machine – if we see anyone with this experience. 

 

  • This plant is VERY DUSTY WITH THE PRODUCT IN THE AIR – THEY DO PROVIDE MASKS

 

Hours:  6am-6pm (Monday – Saturday)

Pay:  $19.00

MUST be able to pass a Drug Test and Criminal Background CHECK

MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE

 

  • Role Purpose/Accountabilities

  • This position willreport to the ProductionManager.

  • Accountable for driving safety on their shift. 

  • Facilitate production operations by providing direct equipment/manpower support to meet production requirements in the most customer-focused, efficient, and safe manner.

  • Support and drive Quality standards.

  • Report production and KPIs through VSM.

  • Troubleshoot problems

  • May sometimes work in adverse weather conditions – temperature and humidity extremes. Must effectively use safety equipment such as, but not limited to, respirators, hardhat, safety glasses, vest, protective clothing and gloves.

    • Must be eligible to work in the US

  • — Must have high school diploma or equivalent

 

  Shoes:  Please let the candidates know that for interviews they must have appropriate shoes on to be on our production floor. We may take candidates out to the shop floor during their interview. Appropriate shoes are causal shoes (all leather or leather like). Shoes must cover the entire foot. NO sandals, flip flops, mules, sling backs, open back, open toe shoes, mesh material or canvas. If the applicant is offered the assignment, they must wear the appropriate shoes for the assignment. There are some departments which require steel toe safety shoes.
