Forklift Operator
Location: Aurora, CO
Pay: $19.50/hour to start
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:00/7:00 PM
 
Position Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join their Aurora warehouse team. This position is primarily focused on material handling and forklift operation, but the successful candidate must also be willing to assist with general warehouse functions as needed.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term warehouse position. Employees who are hired on permanently will receive an increased hourly rate along with benefits, 401(k), paid holidays, and PTO.
Job Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a forklift to move, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the warehouse
  • Receive products arriving by railcar and truckload
  • Scan incoming materials and accurately put products away in designated warehouse locations
  • Pick customer orders, including scanning and staging products for shipment
  • Load materials into outbound trailers and perform required trailer inspections
  • Maintain 100% inventory accuracy
  • Accurately record product locations and communicate any location changes
  • Use barcode scanners to scan products in and out of inventory
  • Complete and submit required paperwork to the office
  • Follow all company SOPs, procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Clean and properly maintain forklift/clamp equipment
  • Complete assigned daily building checklist tasks
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Previous forklift experience required
  • Active forklift certification preferred; expired certifications may be recertified on-site
  • If currently certified, candidates should bring a copy of their certification to the interview
  • Must be comfortable using scanners and computer-based warehouse systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
  • Ability to safely handle and move warehouse materials
  • Must be willing to assist with general warehouse duties when needed
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Must have steel-toed shoes
