Forklift Operator

Virbac Animal Health is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our Warehouse Team located in Bridgeton, MO. The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count products. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Picker duties.

Qualified Candidates must possess the following:

• Forklift Certification
• Warehouse Experience
• Knowledge of ERP Systems
• Inventory Experience
• HS Dipolma or GED

Area of responsibility 1: [Receiving]

Main activities

1. Unload inbound shipments safely and move material/product to storage locations.

2. Efficiently stack and store the product/material in the appropriate area(s) accurately.

3. Pull material to support production requirements.

4. Return material to storage location after production use

Expected results: Product received, stored, located and provided accurately and timely.

Area of responsibility 2: [Shipping]

Main activities

1. Store/locate finished product in the warehouse.

2. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping

3. Complete location report for recording.

4. Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers for shipping.

Expected results: Ensure finished product is stored and shipped accurately per customer requirements

Main activities

1. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

2. Report quality variances.

3. Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.

4. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.

5. Conduct operations following GMP.

Expected results: Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

Area of responsibility 4: [Safety/Equipment]

Main activities

1. Load, unload, move, stack, store and stage product and materials using a forklift, or other power equipment according to approved operating guidelines.

2. Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

3. On a daily basis, inspect the forklift or other equipment and complete a log.

4. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.

Expected results: Maintain a high standard of safety in warehouse operations.

Area of responsibility 5: [Inventory]

Main activities

1. Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories.

Expected results: Ensure accurate inventory counts.
