Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Shift : Days (6am - 6pm) and Nights (6pm - 6am)
Compensation:$18.50 - 22/hr (Night shift will receive a 10% shift differential)
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our team. The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, load, unload, stack, and organize materials efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment.
Job Duties:
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move products, pallets, and materials throughout the warehouse or facility.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory movement records.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as picking, packing, and cleaning as needed.
- Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and shipping/receiving teams.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous forklift operating experience required.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices.
