Pay Rate: $23.00/hr on W2
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shift: Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat, Sun / Wed, Thu)
Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and accurate movement of products within the distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Transport palletized products throughout the distribution center, including unloading, put-away, replenishment, picking, and loading.
- Operate material handling equipment (MHE), including: High Reach Forklift, Counterbalance Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, Dock Stocker
- Use RF scanners and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Ensure product integrity while handling materials.
- Follow all site safety procedures and wear required PPE (safety vest and safety shoes).
- Cross-train in other warehouse functions and provide backup support when needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year of relevant warehouse/forklift experience required (in lieu of diploma/GED).
- Intermediate experience operating High Reach or Counterbalance Forklifts.
- Experience with Manhattan WMS is preferred.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
- Ability to read and understand distribution documents in English.
- Experience using RF scanners and warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer, analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Strong attention to safety and productivity.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, lift, and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Vision and hearing sufficient to safely operate material handling equipment.
Work Environment:
- Moderate to loud warehouse environment.
- Regular exposure to moving machinery and industrial warehouse conditions.
- May require a mandatory medical evaluation in accordance with workplace safety requirements.
